A few days ago, we learned from the official channel of Geely Automobile that the fourth-generation Emgrand has added two models, namely, the 1.5L Manual Asian Games Edition and the 1.5L CVT Asian Games Edition, which are priced at 62,900 yuan and 72,900 yuan respectively. The number of optional models of the fourth-generation Emgrand has increased to 9 models, and the price range is 62,900-129,800 yuan.

From the positioning point of view, the newly added 1.5L Manual Asian Games Edition and 1.5L CVT Asian Games Edition are respectively positioned for the entry-level versions of manual and automatic transmission models. Among them, the price of the 1.5L manual Asian Games version is 7000 yuan lower than that of the 1.5L manual elite version. In terms of configuration, the 12.3-inch full LCD instrument and the rear universal serial bus interface are reduced, and the leather steering wheel is made of plastic, and the four speakers are reduced to two.

The price of 1.5L CVT Asian Games Edition is 5,000 yuan lower than that of 1.5L CVT Elite Edition. In terms of configuration, 12.3-inch full LCD instrument, rear universal serial bus interface and rear air outlet are reduced, and the leather steering wheel is made of plastic.

In terms of other configurations, the two new models are equipped with LED daytime running lights, 16-inch wheels, induction boneless wipers, electric adjustment/heating of exterior rearview mirrors, multifunctional control of steering wheel, 10.25-inch floating central control panel, reversing images, parking radar, leather seats and so on.

In the power part, the fourth generation Emgrand is equipped with a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine with a maximum power of 84 kW and a peak torque of 147 Nm. The transmission system is matched with a 5-speed manual or continuous variable transmission gearbox.

The fourth-generation Emgrand was officially launched in August 2021. With its appearance and interior resembling "Small Star Rui" and good configuration performance, it was favored by many consumers, and was chosen as the first car by many families, with an average of more than 10,000 cars sold every month. The launch of the two Asian Games models has further lowered the car purchase threshold of the fourth generation Emgrand, which will undoubtedly be more friendly to consumers with limited budget and low configuration requirements.
